The sailor flap lays nice and flat since it's sewed onto the collar rather than being a folded collar, which I love. Be VERY careful about washing, though! Even in cold water, the anchor embroidery started to curl.

The style sold me but the fabric washes beautifully. Seeing it again I was delighted, many times I said to myself I should've bought two the first time. This time around the red is a little darker, not so tomato red, slightly brick red but the fabric has the same feel.
