I Wear a 42D and ordered a 42DD, perfect fit! (For size comparison I wear a 3XL in shein swim!(
It's VERY supportive and covers me well, I can't wait to wear it this summer and on vacations 🩷 all I say is side up the cup one like I did! Again, DO NOT listen to those bad reviews!
The straps are adjustable, and they can come off to make it strapless!
I didn't get the matching bottoms but if I did I would order the 2XL as that's my Penningtons size! (Pictured)

Love this swimsuit!
I personally love this. It fits much better than some of the other swim tops I've bought from Torrid over the years. I do not have a large chest. I'm a 38C and purchased a 0-C/D.

Finally!
I have been begging and pleading for some strapless, longline bathing suit tops to pair with my beloved swim skirts, and Torrid finally delivered! Love the fit on this because I’m one of those plus size girls who WASN’T blessed with big, beautiful boobs. I’m a 38C in bras and the size 1 D/DD fit me perfectly. Usually the cups gape and stick out, but not on this one. Can’t wait to wear this on vacation! Please make other patterns, matching swim skirts, and similar styles =)

I got the set and didn’t have the issue with the bullet shape that others are talking about, but I can definitely see how it would’ve been an issue with larger chests. I have C cups but used to have triple Ds before I lost weight. I think it looks great but the cups are definitely stiff so it would be very prone to spillage. Still happy with my choice though, I got a 0 c/d and it fit great. As in all torrid swimsuits (at least for me), sizing up one size is a must. I am 160 lbs, 5’7 usually between size 00-0 size 12 in torrid jeans.

For reference I'm typically a 40/42 C in bra (depends on the brand/style) a size 1 in Torrid's tops mainly due to being a smaller chested plus size person. On that note, this review is coming from someone who's never had a larger chest even while being plus size. My chest has always been naturally saggy, flatter, and not a lot of tissue in general. Now if you're in my shoes, I think you'll really like this swim top. If you are not me at all aka a fuller/larger chest you may have some trouble. Torrid's swimwear has always had the tendency to run a bit tight on me, and I do have to say as a regular customer I found this sizing a bit confusing. I ended up ordering a 1 D/DD. Now on me personally this fit is amazing. No cupping or gaps in the bra, I'm not spilling over at all. I feel like I have great support, the straps were a tad tight on me so I did adjust them. It was easy to do so, but even then I never fill out a D cup. I'm a true C and this fits really well but I wonder if maybe you weren't in the tiny/saggy/ chest crowd of the plus size world if that would be the case. Last note is for the peeps who LOVE the original pink cherry dress Torrid had a year ago for retro chic just wanna let you know this print is SIMILAR. But not the same. I held the dress up to me in the swim suit for reference but the dress is a true light pastel pink. This swimsuit is a very close match but it's definitely a brighter pink. So if that matters to you, do with that what you will. Overall I'm glad this fits me so well, finding bras/bra style swim tops is really hard for me. But for my larger chest friends really check the size chart or make sure you can exchange sizes if needed.

I nearly kept this but the sizing is off. I got a 0D/DD and it looked lovely, but the cups need to be designed so I don't have side boob. It would be hard to notice but I could feel it and it is uncomfortable with part of boob flesh spilling out on sides outside of the cup wire. Even if nobody can see it, I could feel it and super uncomfortable.Side boob is so unflattering in suits or if they spill out from under.Size up is too big, size down too small. The cup size should be adjusted.Aren't there suit tops that are JUST DD? I could see bulging flesh near armpit and I did not like the look either.Maybe fix cup sizing, Torrid? However, I did not have any odd bullet boob issue like some reviews said. Just bad cup sizing for me.For reference, I am 38DDD in VS bras, 38DD in Torrids. 5'5, 160 pounds, curvy/athletic/hourglass figure.

Nice colour, bad fit
The colour and print are gorgeous! However, I normally wear a 2x and had to size up to a 4 to accommodate my boobs... and even then the way the suit is cut( it kind of gives a bullet bra feel) my chest didnt fit correctly Into the cups with a lot of spillage especially with the side boob area, and because I needed to size up 2 sizes the band was too large... this suit is not made for someone top heavy dispite being listed as a "dd/f cup"

Runs RIDICULOUSLY small!!
I bought this product about 3 weeks ago and was super excited to wear it this summer to show off my new weight loss. I bought the largest size they had, which, according to the sizing chart, should have fit my 40DDD's. It was SO tiny and there was NO way I was squeezing the girls into it, unfortunately. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. Torrid is known for it's wide range of sizes, and after seeing this product, I'm definitely going to be questioning if I continue to shop here. Shame on you, Torrid, for falsely advertising sizes!

The cups are shaped like torpedoes pointing upwards, and they're relatively too small compared to your body. Technically, bullet bras are a retro style, so just be warned - that's exactly what this top is.
I wish I could explain this better - the wire on most 5xl-6xl on the outer curve needs to be lower and wider by a large margine on every wired bra and swimsuit that Torrid makes. I can only get bralettes from here. Have to return this. RIP.
