Love this color
I got this 3 weeks and Absolutely love it the design the material the color its all fantastic I command going up 1 more sized than you normally wear.
I wear a 3x so I got it in a 4x . . I wish they had more in stock .

So many compliments on my costume! I felt super cute and it was very comfortable and soft. I am 5’ 7” and usually wear a 0-1. I bought a size 0 for both the top and red skirt, and it fit PERFECT (You could size down again if you are going for a sexier look!).

Great fit and feel
I thought the sweater would be too hot, but I was wrong. It was very easy to tuck into the skirt and I did not have to worry about overheating. I love the outfit!

Perfect for Velma
While this costume top may not meet quality expectations for an everyday piece, it far exceeds quality on anything you could find at Spirit and looks fantastic. The thinness didn't bother me at all and I absolutely love it.

Super cute!
I really like this sweater. I’m going to wear it with a tank top because I sweat a lot. I don’t think it’s too sheer. I actually think it’s the perfect weight for someone who runs hot. I’m excited to wear it. I’m planing to pair it with jeans because the matching skirt is way too short for me!

I actually liked this sweater and thought it was above costume quality. It is thin but only because that’s the type of knot it is. A light weight sweater and for me, living in the south, it worked perfectly for my costume! I had no problems with the neck, but I like true turtlenecks. I loved my Velma costume this year. I went with my own burgundy colored skirt, and with this sweater it was perfect! I also went with a bigger size because I was worried about other reviewers and the neck being small. So I went with oversized sweater look and I was great with it! But I felt it was true to size.

Thin but works
For a costume it works really well. It's a lot thinner than expected, so it's great I won't overheat. It also runs smaller than expected. I ordered up to be a bit oversized like Velma wears, but it fits normal for me. Other downside, I first wore a dark bra and it could be completely seen. Skin tone worked.

Cute skirt, too tight!
I have been wanting an adorable Velma costume for years! I was so excited to see this one on Torrid so I snagged it up right away! I am overall pleased with the top, even if it is a big snug .. but the skirt! :( So sad! The quality is great, however, it is not true to size in my opinion. If you are a true to your size torrid gal - order a size up! The three did not fit like a three and there isn't much stretch. Sadly, I had to order a different skirt and will have to return this one.

I was super excited for this to arrive. Upon trying it on, I could see my bra through it. Also, the material is thinner than I expected...considering on the model in the pic, it seems thicker. I personally don't really mind the thinness, but the quality of material does not match the price point, hence my 3 star rating.

Stinks, Literally.....
The other reviewers are on point. The material is thin, but I consider that to be a feature, not a flaw. I like thin sweaters, especially if I were to wear this to a party or out trick or treating. I liked the style. The sleeves bell out a bit, which lends a '60's flair.
However, the price point is absurd. We are likely paying an extra $40 for an ugly, licensed embroidered magnifying glass. If someone doesn't get 'Velma' from this sweater, a distracting emblem won't help.
The hardest to swallow was the smell. This came directly from Torrid reeking of mildew. Though packed with silica gel pack, I could smell it as soon as I opened the bag. It was so gross that the odor lingered long after it was repackaged. *barf*

I decided to be Velma in July and when I saw Torrid have a costume for her I was really excited!
However that excitement fizzled when I opened the box and saw just how thin and flimsy everything was. This sweater was so thin it was see through, which fine! Layers! But for this price? Not convinced.

Once again, "Spirit Halloween quality for a Torrid price!" This sweater is see through! It's a sweater, it's almost an impressive fail to make it see through. The material is ridiculously thin, I'm not even sure this costume would be wearable more than once, it's so flimsy.

It’s a flop.
The color is perfect and the bell sleeves are adorable however, IT’S NOT THE ONE. The material is so thin it’s see through, the sweater is TOO SHORT and the magnifying glass isn’t necessary because Velma’s look is iconic and doesn’t need the extra branding. It would be better to put your own Velma look together.

Terrible Quailty
The sweater is made with thin material and it is see through. You would have to wear a tank top or shirt that are close to the color underneath. I was expecting the sweater be nice enough to wear more than once but clearly it is not.

I bought this sweater and the skirt to do Velma cosplays with and to wear even when not cosplaying. The sweater fit well, but the material left a lot to be desired. It felt itchy and it was see through. What a disappointment.
