This dress is great! I sized down as reviews said run large. I bought for a destination wedding in Mexico and was not disappointed! I received so many compliments on the dress.

Perfect Yellow
I Love Love this yellow dress on. It fits perfect I purchased a 14. I normally were a 12. But I got a 14 because of the cut across my Girls, they aren't small. The dress is long, but the flow and how it feels on my body is Amazing! Buy this dress you will not be sorry.

This dress is so pretty, I love how flowy it is. It’s very flattering! It is definitely on the longer side but you can adjust the straps, which really helps!

Size down!
It’s a beautiful dress but it runs very very big. I’m typically 1x/2x, size 18 pants. I ordered a size 16 and It was way too large for me. I was able to go to a store and return the dress to reorder in a size down, but the size 14 is still way too big! I really want to keep the dress and since the store is an hour away from me, im don’t want to go back to return and reorder (they did not carry this style in the store). I’m going to have it altered because I really don’t want to give up on it.

Runs big!
I'm usually a size 14 or size 1 in Torrid items, however, this dress isn't their standard size 14. It's HUGE! I'm 5'10 and while it's definitely long enough, it's not true to size. Order at least one size down from your usual Torrid size. Beautiful and flowy, but I can take it off without even undoing the zipper lol! 😅

Under slip fail
There is an under slip dress that is VERY short. And it rides up every time you walk. The dress is pretty but that completely ruins it.

Worst fitting dress ever
I've bought so many clothes from Torrid. 90% of my wardrobe is from here. Unfortunately, this is the worst fitting dress I can ever remember buying. It was so bad I'm wondering if I got one with a mislabeled size?
I'm 5'6" and have sized down from 2x to a 10/00. Although I'm sizing out of Torrid, I still buy clothes all the time from them and know how they should fit.
This one was surprising. It is so large in every way. It was several sizes too wide, at least 6" of fabric pooled on the floor (and I was wearing shoes), and although I tightened the straps so much that they were uncomfortable tight on my armpits, the neckline was still so low that much of my bra was showing. There's just no way to fix that for me.
Maybe this dress would work on someone quite tall - 5'10" and above - if they were wearing heels or had it altered. Maybe this would work if you had a much larger chest (I'm down to a 36C), maybe this could work if you sized down 2 -3 sizes or if you like things really oversized and wore a different shirt underneath so your bra didn't show, or if you went bra less?
I'm still a huge Torrid fan, and have only rated things with one star once or twice before. This one for me is a definite hard pass.

Don’t Waste Your Money
Don’t even bother with this dress, especially if you’re in Torrid’s smaller size range. I’ve bought this dress in 5 sizes now, and all are HUGE. (For context, I normally wear a 16/18, and I’ve tried everything from that down to a size 10). The cold shoulder sleeves seem to be the only thing that have gotten smaller/tighter on these dresses. There has to be a manufacturing error with these, the size 10 body/chest of the dress fit more like a 20. And the size 18, which is the first one I tried, fit more like a 24 or 26. Normally I would have given up after the first try, but I was dead set on wearing this dress for my bridal shower. Guess I’m out of luck. The first time I contacted customer service, the associate was nice, but the second time was much less helpful. There is apparently no way to refund shipping or return fees, so I will have lost a total of $42 trying to make these dresses work for me. All I was offered was a $10 credit, even though there is clearly an issue on Torrid’s end. This is also after they closed both of my local stores, so I can’t even handle this in person. I have been a lifelong customer but I am extremely disappointed. (This was the blue dress, maybe the yellow is okay.)
