Cute, but no
I am a size 14, 38B, 5'3 with an apron belly and thighs.
I purchased this in a size 1 and was truly looking forward to adding this set to my closet. It's cute, but not intended for someone who's 5'3. The skirt hits under the knee for me, and if I want it to resemble a mini, I had to rest the band under my chest, which then made the outfit look more like a skater dress with a lace pattern, cute, but its not a dress.
Now as for the top. The top is well made it does have an inner liner so you can go brawless under it and it does give you enough support where the girls sit pretty. However the sleeves? I pass. The lace was rather itchy and not as appealing either.

Better options exist
If you remember the 2 piece similar blue set from last year, this is similar with more issues.
It's cute enough, but the top is at least one size bigger than the bottom (overall)and the bottom band of the top is bigger than the waist band on the skirt.
The lace was soft enough, but just felt very unappealing to me (and the static drove me nuts trying it on at the store) and I worry for the lace longevity.
I am very small chested and with the top being oversized, I felt completely flat. It may fit and look a lot better if you have a larger chested, but with the loose band at the bottom of the shirt I worry you might pop out every time you lift your arms.
I just really wish they would fix the top design, and maybe stay away from the puffy balloon arms.
With so many great LBD options out there, I just can't recommend this one. I got it for under $40 and still returned it.
I'm 5'6", approx 160 and got it in 00.
