Nice but too long
I have been looking for a simple black dress for a while and got excited when I saw this one. Unfortunately it was way too long for me, more like a maxi length. I struggled with returning it b cause it is a really nice dress but in the end I did send it back as I really one want a shorter dress. But if you are taller than 5 ft 4 in. I ay go for for it. The fit is good and hangs on the body nicely

I bought this dress today and it is beautiful. I usually wear a size 14-16 torrid size 1, but I got a 0 and it was still a little loose so the sizing might be a bit off but could just be my proportions. Also, if you are shorter be aware that this will fit more ankle length. I am 5'4" and this dress is ankle length on me. Overall beautiful dress and great quality.

I bought this dress for a wedding. I received so many compliments. I felt beautiful and it so flattering on my body type. I absolutely loved the color. I wish they had other beautiful colors because I would buy them all!!! This is definitely a must but for your wardrobe!!

This is probably the prettiest Torrid dress I’ve purchased to date. I adore it. It fits beautifully and the color is GORGEOUS. i purchased my regular size and it fits great. I am very big chested so keep this in mind.

Fabulous Dress - WINNING!
All right ladies - Totally honest review on this dress. I purchased for a work award ceremony and I wanted a day time dress that was not busy. Went with this dress in the teal. I felt the color was a little richer then pictured online and that is was wonderfully flowy for a summer event. Length worked for me as ankle length - I'm 5" 1 1/2". I have a couple of alterations to make with super basic hand stitching to make this work for my shape. Prior reviews were mixed and I was not sure if this would work for me - fabric doesn't give, too large or too small. I felt the following was more accurate - I purchased a size larger and it was too big. Sleeves have elastic stitched in a slim pocket so I opened up the seam, pulled 1 1/2 inches of elastic out, sewed ends together and customized for my arm width. The waist was HUGE on my body by 4 inches. I took the seam on the sides and folded in from the inside of the dress and stitched together with a couple of looping stitches. Reduce the waste to fit and due to draping of the sleeves no one noticed. Also added 2 stitches to close up the front. I felt it gaped way too much and stitched along the seem - again hidden stiches. You could wear a camisole underneath and it could work for you. The dress flows great, I received tons of compliments on the color and it is truly a dress you can dress up or down. I wore black calf boots with a 1 inch heel. Glad I purchased it, got it with my Hot Cash and arrived in plenty of time for me to receive my award. Planning on buying in black and making same alterations.
