I'm 5'4 with an hourglass figure - big bottom - and shorts are uncomfortable for me. Even in summer I avoid them. I took a chance in the sale and these are exceptional. I'm a size 2 on the bottom and I purchased the 2. The ripstop fabric is also perfect for the gym. You're impressive, Torrid.

Perfection I walk 5 to 6 miles each day and I have found shorts that I like but can't seem to find any that don't eventually ride up between the thighs at some point during my walk. I received these yesterday and walked in them today for 6 miles and they didn't ride up even once. Stayed cooled in our almost 90 degree heat in October. Also love the zippered pockets. I had my phone, chapstick and at one point even put my water bottle in the other which surprised me that it fit. I got home from my walk and instantly got on the app to order more. I wish these came in some additional colors. True to size.

They only come in black or blue, which I bought both, but I wish there were more colors because I would have bought them all!

They are comfortable (elastic waist with tie), and very importantly, have ZIPPERED pockets that are large enough for my small wallet, keys, and phone, which I won't lose in the two pockets. They don't seem to hold the.sweat while hiking. Haven't tried them in the rain yet. The only reason these get 4 instead of 5 stars is that the zippers are vertical on the legs (zipper moves up and down) instead of horizontal (zipper moves side-to-side.). I really love the horizontal zippers in previous versions of these shorts. Thanks Torrid for great shorts for plus size people!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Generous sizing The material is great but they run big and the leg holes are huge. I bought my usual size on clearance so I'm unable to return. I honestly think the butt/legs would still be too large even if I sized down one.
