So very cute IRL
I saw this online and knew I wanted it, but I was nervous because of the reviews, so I went into the store to try it on.
I’m going to give you some measurements and photos to help with this review. I am 5’7” and 230 lbs. I wear a torrid size 1 shirt and bathing suit. I wear a 42DD bra.
I live and breathe by underwire bathing suits. I have missed them more than I can even put into words. I have the kind of boobs that disappear in traditional tops/bathing suits without underwire and sculpting. They cannot be compressed. The girls are side set and they need to be told where to go or they go into hiding. They need shape. This bathing suit tells them where to go.
I am telling you this (way too much) information because I have a sneaking suspicion the shape and position of your boobs is going to determine how this looks on you. There is a lot of structure and padding. Pictured below: I am wearing my normal size—The 1 D/DD, and it fit like a glove. I was in love immediately. I have NEVER liked a bikini top this much. When I walked out of the dressing room, the woman adjacent to me immediately asked the sales rep to go grab her one (she looked fabulous in it, too). And so… it was purchased.
I will wear it with black high waisted swim bottoms I have at home (also from Torrid).
Also— underwire AND jewel tones? I’m so grateful for this, Torrid! It has been YEARS since I’ve bought a bathing suit I loved and felt comfortable in and today I bought two.

Size Up!
Incredibly cute but you NEED to size up. One of the reviews said the cups were too narrow- I didn't understand what that meant until I received it. In an attempt to create a lifted and perky look, they instead found a way to squish your breasts into one giant mono-boob. And the cups are quite small as well. I bought a 1DD/DDD and it for more like a 1 C/D. The band around the ribs also rolls up, unfortunately. But, like I said, it's still very cute and when paired with the matching bottoms? Even better. I re-ordered a size up and plan to return the one I have.

Cute but narrow
This swim top is so cute, but the bust is narrow. I’m usually a size 1 and remember from earlier this year the stores sales associate told me the swim suits are running small this year so I sized up to a size 2, and I’m glad I did. The top just fits! If it was any smaller it would not work. But other than it being narrow I love it. It’s so cute!

Cups are too small
I bought the green set because the color was so pretty. I wear a 44 DD in Torrid bras, and I know their swimwear is notorious for running small, so I bought a 3 in the largest cup size. My chest was still spilling out every side of the cups, but the band and the material underneath was too loose. I tried every adjustment I could to make it work, but just couldn’t do it. Since I was already at the biggest cup size, even returning for a bigger size wouldn’t have helped.
