Can you tell us a little bit about what that your job entails? I'm a technical designer. And what that means is that I focus mainly on the quality, the construction and the fit of the garments. We're all about the fabric, making sure the stretch is nice, the stitches are stretching with the fabric. We're very technical. What’s your favorite part about working for Torrid? I love working for Torrid because it’s a brand that is about celebrating and serving the plus size woman. Celebrating her curves and serving all her needs. She can go in store or online and purchase an entire outfit, from head to toe. Can you tell us about your experience on set of the recent photoshoot? My experience here has been truly amazing. I'm having a blast getting makeup done, hair done, trying on clothes. The excitement, the rush, and everyone's moving around, everyone's doing something, and just being in front of the camera. We hear so many amazing stories about moments with customers in Fitting Rooms. Do you have a “Fitting Room” story you can share with us? I had a customer who was blind, and I was helping her find a bra. I found her a few to try on and got her a fitting room. I asked if she wanted me in the room to help her and she said yes! So it was important for me to know she was comfortable. It was an opportunity to show her that she can come into our store and know she will be helped to any extent. Can you tell me what being part of #TeamTorrid means for you? Being a part of #TeamTorrid, to me, means being a part of a great community that's about celebrating, loving and feeling confident about ourselves. Having your fans out in the fitting room, cheering you on with your new outfits—It's being a part of an unstoppable community, a loving community. And it's awesome. What makes a pair of jeans perfect for you? Bombshell!! I love the Bombshell jeans. I have a flat butt, so the sweetheart yoke and side darts help to give that illusion of a great butt! What would be some advice you'd give to someone just learning to love their body? The best way to find confidence is by finding what you like about yourself. Find clothes or accessories that celebrate those aspects! Your mind will begin to focus on what you love rather than what you hate. What's it like having a CEO that's so passionate about her brand? She’s leading us, she’s driving us. So, if the CEO herself is passionate and wears our product like Liz does—I feel like that's super important, like you're a part of the community. You understand the product and the back and forth all the way through. It’s important for any CEO to really be passionate about their product. What Torrid style makes you feel unstoppable? One Torrid item that I absolutely cannot live without is the 360° Back Smoothing T-Shirt Bra. I love it. I wear it every day. Since I'm at work, I'm mostly on my feet and having a supportive bra is extremely important. I need a bra that's going to support my shoulders and my back throughout my eight-hour day.
