What do you do at Torrid, and how does your job help impact customers? As a key holder, I am basically the middle person between management and the sales associates. My job is life changing because I have to be well-versed in knowing the systems and operations while still providing customer service. So if customers need anything or have any inquiries about how things are ran in the store, they will come to me. What do you love most about working for Torrid? I love working at Torrid because of the overall message of body positivity and inclusion. While working for Torrid you come across so many people and their different stories. Depending on the conversation with the customer, it either inspires you or gives you the opportunity to uplift the individual, which is honestly the best part of working there. The discount is just a plus. Can you share what it’s like working in the store with the customers? Omg the fitting room is where the party is really at! I don’t have a specific time that I can share because it’s always a great time back there. Customers go in with their items and they come out, model what they have on, walk our runway, we hype them up, they admire themselves in the mirror—it’s a partyyyy! Why is finding the perfect fit so important? A wise person once said, “When you look good, you feel good!” So it’s important to find the right fit for your body because it builds confidence. And once you have that confidence, you move differently, you have more pep in your step, your head is held higher, and you just have a glow that radiates for miles.What does being unstoppable mean to you? Being unstoppable to me, means being unapologetically you in all spaces. When you know yourself and you know your worth, no matter the setting, nobody can take anything away from you. I need jeans that can move with me but also stay in place, because who wants to constantly adjust? Nobody! Torrid jeans are definitely a staple piece in my wardrobe because of my work.What do you look for in your Torrid jeans? The fabric, feel and fit is important when finding the perfect jeans for me. I want something that’s smooth to the touch, has good stretch yet holds me in and accentuates my curves. A jean that can do all that has my heart. What does being part of #TeamTorrid mean to you? I’m forever grateful to the team for letting me be a part of the family that you all have created. But to me, being a part of the overall team just means knowing who you're doing this for, knowing your impact within this community, and just striving to put your best foot forward so you can represent your audience and your company to the fullest. What's been a highlight of the #TeamTorrid experience so far? Oh gosh, everything! I've been telling the team I’ve never been to the West Coast. The fact that I’m here to represent the company is already amazing. The landscape is great. The food is great. Oh gosh, the fruit…chef's kiss! And then being with such a diverse crew.
