The hood is an actual hood and not a small flap of fabric just for show, which is amazing. I'd say, if you like a more fitted look with your sweaters, size down.

It is very thick, but knit somewhat loosely so it's still very soft, flexible and breathable, though it does snag pretty easily as a result. The pocket is a very nice plus, and I love the embroidered details. It's super fun that there are matching panties available!
